Texas Gov. Abbott directs health officials to ‘provide behavioral health services to every child in Uvalde’

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott directed the Wellbeing and Human Services Commission on Wednesday to present behavior wellness services to each and every child in Uvalde in the wake of last month’s massacre at Robb Elementary College that still left 19 children and two adults dead. 

Uvalde, a limited-knit city of about 16,000, is still reeling from the shooting as devastated households lay their beloved kinds to rest.

“As these people commence to rebuild their life, it is important that the young children of Uvalde have accessibility to psychological wellness treatment method,” Abbott wrote in the letter to Texas Well being and Human Products and services Fee Commissioner Cecile Young. 

“I am asking that you use all readily available assets to work with people to give behavioral overall health services to every boy or girl in Uvalde who wishes support.”
